Ollie the Collie
Finn fits right in!
Thank you so much to the McNally’s for the update on Oscar (now Finn) who sent us the note below!
The McNally family just wanted to give you an update on how our new dog Finn has settled in. We adopted him on 13th July this year and he was originally called Oscar. He is now nearly 12 months old and loves going for long walks in the countryside and enjoys playing with his monkey teddy we bought for him on his first day at home (although monkey doesn’t have much of him left!). Finn has really settled in well (as you can probably tell from the attached photos) and has learned a lot, especially with lead training. Although he can be very mischievous, Finn loves socialising with other dogs and humans, something which we believe he lacked whilst in the care of his previous owners. He is a great big bundle of energy and we wouldn’t change him for the world.
Bailey pops in to say hello!
It was nice to see Bailey yesterday. He called in with his owner to say hello
and let us know how he’s been since going to his new home almost exactly a year ago!
He is definitely keeping his owner busy and doesn’t seem to like to stay still (hence the slightly fuzzy photo!) but he is very much loving his life since he was adopted and Bailey and owner are both very happy!
Greyhound Gap does it again!
We would like to thank Greyhound Gap for kindly offering a place to another one of our guys that needed a change of scenery. She went off to start her life in a new home yesterday.
It is also fantastic to see Delilah, one of the girls that they took on a little while ago, out mixing it up with the stars! Thank you so much for the updates and please keep them coming!

Can you offer Amelia a home?
Amelia is looking for someone to give her some home comforts! She is estimated to be approximately 10-12 years old and is suffering with a bit of arthritis now. She came to us through the wardens from the Hindley area and sadly nobody has come looking for her.
She is a very sweet dog and deserves a kind, loving home where she can potter around and enjoy the rest of her life.
Could this be you?
Please contact us or call in to meet Amelia if you think you could help. (please note, we would like her to go to a home, rather than another kennels).

We are offering Free Micro-Chipping for Dogs all banking holiday weekend!

As of April 6th it became the law to have your dog ID chipped!
We appreciate that for what ever reason this might not have been done, as we are seeing so many of the stray dogs that come into us aren’t ID chipped.
So we would like to offer this free service to anyone who needs to get their dog ID chipped!

ANOTHER Big Thank You to Doris Banham!
We would like to another big thank you to Doris Banham for taking these guys on!!
Pongo a German Shepherd brought into us via the Leigh & Wigan Dog Wardens on the 25/07/2016 unfortunately his ID chip had no details on
and no has come forward during his 7 days with us.
Jack a Jack Russell brought into us again via the Leigh & Wigan Dog Wardens on the 28/07/2016 Jack was ID chipped but we’ve had no luck getting in touch with the registered owner, and no one has stepped forward to claim him.
Robbie initially came into our care whilst his owner went into hospital until it was determined that his owner would no longer be able to care for him full time so they asked for him to be rehomed.
Doris Banham have once again kindly offered to take all three dogs on and to look for their forever homes!
Once again we would like to say a massive thank you to Sharon, Trudie, Lorna & Co at Doris Banham for their continued help it’s greatly appreciated!
GOOD LUCK PONGO, JACK AND ROBBIE!!
